Toxicity: Oral: LD50 that is silver-nitrate 50 mg / kg
intraperitoneal: LD50 silver-nitrate 22 mg / kg 
Acute: Silver / ammonia solution is a strong base and reacts to all body-tissue. 
Chronic: Inhaling in extrame great concentration could cause bronchitis and/or pneumonia and in some cases lowers breathing functions. Regular inhalation could cause lung sickness. Always wear safety equipment, mask. 
Signs, simptoms: Skin gets darker and irritation occours, strong ammonia smell.
1. Inhalation: The gas could be stiffling and irritate the mucous and the lung tissues. Repeated or longer exposition in greater concentration (500 ppm IDLH) the ammonia could cause permanent damage or death. Shorter exposition could irritate, could cause headaches, caughing, serious pulmonary congestion, heavy breathing, cramps, shocks.
2. Eye: Heavly irritative in the form of steam. It could cause burn damage, eye problems, blindless.
3. Skin: Silver compounds could reach the circulation through the skin cracks.
4. Ingestion:  Burning pain in the mouth, throat, stomach, chest, swollen throat, caughing, vomiting or diarrhea. Lethal dose: 3-4ml (1 ounce)

Emergency and first aid actions:
Ingestion: If the injured is conscious he/she should drink salt water and/or milk and then he should vomit. Extremly toxic. Call a doctor immediately.

Inhalation: Should be taken to fresh air. If the breathing stops or heavy, artificial respiration is needed or should given oxigen if necessary. Call a doctor immediately.

Skin: Wash with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Remove the conteminated cloth. The material, that reaches the skin through cracks cannot be treated or removed. The pigmentation should be treated at all times.

Contact with the eye: Wash with plenty of water for 15 minutes.
